AIM

To determine which type of warmup protocol and delivery produces optimal results in dance performance.

SUB-AIMS

  • To investigate effects of a cardio-warm-up on vertical jump (VJ) height, balance, and range of motion (ROM) in intermediate dancers.
  • To examine effects of static stretching (SS), dynamic stretching (DS) and a combined (static and dynamic) stretch protocol on vertical jump height, balance and range of motion (ROM) in intermediate dancers.
  • To investigate effect of teaching style on the effectiveness of static stretching and dynamic stretching protocols.
