POST 98:GTCS

The four frameworks are:

Professional enquiry

This framework was produced by Kelly F, a Biology teacher at Preston Lodge High School and the creator of the online community of teachers Pedagoo. The series of questions helps to prompt your actions at each stage of enquiry.

I HAVE RELATED THIS TO MY RSEARCH:

  • What’s the problem?

Boys are not engaged in dance.

  • How does it fit in?
  • What’s already known?
  • How will you tackle it?
  • How will you know what happened?
  • What’s the plan?
  • What’s the situation now?
  • Implement the idea
  • What happened?
  • What have you learnt?
  • How will you share?

Spiral of Inquiry

This method of enquiry has been developed in British Columbia by Judy Halbert and Linda Kaser and the network they have supported (Network of Inquiry and Innovation).

Critical considerations

The following ten critical considerations are issues/contextual factors that must be considered and planned/accounted for when planning and engaging in practitioner enquiry. These critical considerations emerged from the research with schools. They were significant factors common to all schools and individuals engaging in practitioner enquiry. These factors influenced and impacted on how worthwhile and successful, or not, the enquiry approaches and projects were.

The ten critical considerations are necessarily interrelated and interdependent on each other. Outlined in the visual below are some of the particular points worth emphasising and giving specific attention to when planning and engaging in practitioner enquiry. To understand more about the critical considerations of Practitioner Enquiry, select each of the sections on the wheel below:

I will go on to discuss the bits but am a bit bored since completing my entries on questions and todays blogs…..lets lesson plan and then come back……
