POST 229: R. ALSTON

The attachment is linked to a lesson plan by Richard Alston.

The lesson is only half an hour but it shows the structure of a normal lesson. Warm up, taught sequence, solo interpretation and pair or group sequence and cool down.
I felt although this plan was part of a developing series, the content followed a lesson plan I would complete for dance.
He started with a reason for the movements, the number and level of students and how the work linked to what was done before.
I liked how he had a section describing the movements in the choreography but I could not state the style or movements to be completed.
Overall the order of the plan was good but the content poor. Not what would be expected from a professional choreographer.
